I know this is weird, but I want to retire someplace where it snows.

I taught myself to drive on a manual transmission at age 17. I must have figured it out, because I’ve never had to replace a tranny. (Looks at 6-speed daily driver and knocks wood)

One of my songs is Soldier's Joy. During the Civil War Soldier's Joy was a cocktail of whiskey, beer, and morphine used as a painkiller. It's a happy little tune.

That Old Wheel by Johnny Cash is a good song. Got me through my hard runs when training for a half marathon.

and his brother don’t know it
And his brother is dead
and McTavish don’t know it
and they’re both laying dead

and neither one knows
that the other is dead

I like snow best when it's on the other side of the window.

That being said, when I was dating my former husband, I remember taking a nighttime walk in falling and accumulating snow. That was romantic.

Yes! Being warm and cozy inside while it is snowing outside is such a nice feeling.

When I was half drunk and sex driven it was much easier

My Christmas tree is still taking up water. I may leave it up until it starts to die.

I used to buy my trees from a popular spot in town. Of the last three I bought, two had to be thrown out Dec. 26 and one had to be thrown out on DEC. 23. They're selling pricy dead trees but I seem to be the only person around who figured it out.
