In my new place of work, we recently appointed a new Planning Commissioner to one of two vacant positions. After the PC meeting last week, I see a need to develop an Onboarding meeting with the new commissioner and perhaps some training for all the remaining commissioners.

Does anyone have a standard onboarding program, agenda, or packet?

I am thinking about standard:
  • Meeting and parliamentary procedure
  • Land use decisions
  • Voting on basis of code findings rather than emotion (far fetched, I know)
  • Expectations for attendance, etc.

Anything else I am missing?
