Started season 10 of Shetland last night. It certainly starts out very very promising. I'm certain the murder was NOT committed by the ex-con who was recently released. That would be way too obvious and way too early.

Season 10 was so good - it's funny, I wasn't sure how this series would fare without that guy (can't remember his name, but I always liked his stuff), but it's really good

My wife and I binged The 'Burbs on Peacock over the long weekend and we both really enjoyed it. It's got a pretty good cast and had a few callbacks to the 1989 movie which I now need to go rewatch for the first time in 30+ years.

I hope it gets picked up for a second season but I've noticed that of all the streaming services, Peacock seems to have a lot of one-and-done shows.
I started The 'Burbs yesterday morning and really liking it too so far although only about halfway through ep2.

Worried it would be like the movie too much, but really it's like a grandchild....baseline DNA similarity, but totally it's only thing...so far at least.

Watched the second episode of season 10 last night. So far this has been even more engaging than usual. There's no such thing as a 'bad' season of Shetland in my view, but this one gets even higher marks.

I wondered how the series would go on without the previous lead, Detective Jimmy Perez, but the new lady, Ruth Calder, is an equally complex character. The changes they've made are welcome so far. Notice how "Tosh" is treated as more or less a peer instead of a subordinate. Plus the character Billy seems to be taking on a more substantial role this season. The jury's not out on the new fiscal, but he seems appropriately harried most of the time.

Started the 'Burbs with the first 4 episodes.

Love the HOA slant.
