Forum games 🎲 I yield my time to....

I yield my remaining time to the 10 year old girl approaching the dias who was clearly voluntold to do this by her parent.
I especially love these when they bring a crayon drawing or have created a poem about lovely field or stand of trees the planning commission is working with the evil developer to destroy. I sometimes wonder how much "push" they get from the parents. Or maybe I'll be the root cause of some kids traumatic childhood and related therapy...other than my own kids that is.

I yield my time to the committee member who has skipped 75% of the meetings in the last year who would now like to read the letter he wrote that is critical of the committee's work (that they did in his absence) to the group.

Something bothering you right now?

;)

I yield my remaining time to the man with the magnificent mustache in the third row.

To the people that, having bitched that the City of Reno does not allow ADU's, are now bitching that the City now allows them, based on a council vote last night.

I yield my time to the guy on the freeway driving crazy fast. You obviously have a need to make it to a restroom.

I yield my time to anyone wishing to discuss with me their love of Alien: Earth with new episodes dropping Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm on Hulu and FX. Isn't that show great?!! What did you think of Episode 6?

Mild spoiler, not really, but I don't want to even slightly mess it up for those still waiting to watch, the show is so good:

What do you think Kirsh is up to?

I yield my time to the chatbots that give zero fucks about how bad they are failing:

I yield my time to the developers of Subaru's Pre-Collision Braking System, which may or may not have saved me from getting in a collision this morning.

I yield my time to non-ABS power assist disc brakes, which I am accustomed to "pumping" when I am in sticky situations.

[Modern crash detection tech is good and saves lives. My LeSabre has ABS, my Camry does not]

I didn't have time to touch the brakes. I was already committed to the lane change and the guy who cut me off just made me have to change quicker. I don't think I would have hit him without the pre-collision braking kicking in, but it probably gave me some margin. Meanwhile my foot was on the gas the whole time because I didn't want to impede traffic coming up from behind.

I yield my time to the State Trooper who should have cited the guy who cut you off.

I take a risk every day when I get in my pre-millennium clunkers without modern safety features, I doubt 25+ year old airbags would deploy. In fact, when I crashed my 1991 Volvo 245 (RIP, best car I ever had), no airbag deployed and the seatbelt pretensioners saved me.

I was not innocent in this case. I should have stabilized in my lane and hung out there for several hundred feet before making a lane change. Then if the guy cut me off I'd simply just brake and let him in. Instead I was on my gas accelerating prematurely under the mistaken assumption the car that just passed me was going much faster than the line I was in.

C'LV with city highway driving in major metros. Glad the modern technology kept u safe. At least it didn't happen on Walden in the drive through line for the Cheektowaga Chic-fil-A.

I yield my time to a deep jungle Wild Jaguar in Brazil, who has no idea what "roads" are.
