One of the projects that was kind of in the works before I got here was the implementation of Miovision, but it has had some hiccups on our end. I was wondering if anyone in here has used it before and if the end results were what was expected.

My fair city is in the process of upgrading their Miovision hardware at all intersections. Then the plan is for others (read: my team) to be able to plug into the system at a second tier priority. I know only what we're learning through the process -- which is that the city is slow and there are many sticking points to work through.

I know that MetroPlan Orlando (metroplanorlando.gov) has used it for years as an ongoing bike/ped count program. It’s good for monitoring the levels of use, but also good for showing potential before/after bike/ped levels when a new trail/sidewalk/bike lane/etc is built. Pretty good system
