Gated emergency access at end of cul-de-sac bulb?

I am looking for an example of a neighborhood that has a cul-de-sac that stops just short of a major road or highway, but that provides for emergency vehicle access from the highway into the neighborhood through the bulb end of the cul-de-sac. Anyone familiar with an example of this? A Texas example would be ideal, but anything will help.

Redlands, California, where I have a lot of family we'd visit several times a year, has some. I first noticed these in high school and thought they were odd.

(And what does it tell you I can still find them instantly, decades later, after not having thought about them since the 90's?)

On my old street in Cedar Park, it wasn't at the end of the bulb. It was between the houses and provided access to the frontage road. This is in Texas.

There is a whole cul-de-sac neighborhood in Benbrook, Texas.

Until a few years ago, emergency vehicles had to go on the freeway, overshoot the neighborhood, then cut back. A bridge was built over the Trinity River from the I-20 access road (which does not cross the river) to Bellaire Drive, the main feeder into the neighborhood. Click on the link above to see it on google maps.

As an aside, I love that area because it is clear where the underground gas line is... look at that consistent gap of structures!
