1. I disagree with Whose Yur Planner, family drama really really sucks!
2. I have eaten nothing today except coffee. Oddly, I'm not very hungry
3. New software at work for permits and code enforcement....AAAAAAHHHHH!
4. We have a Christmas tree on our front porch
5. My car is falling apart piece by piece:(
 
1) Wondering if Maister is using BS&A for zoning and permits?
2) Looks like my Impala needs a new wheel bearing.
3) Our kids have way too many F-ing toys.
4) Kind of frustrated with the way things are going in a few areas of life right now.
5) Learned about Thomas Kinkade this morning on my way to work.
 
1. Busy week. That isn't really a bad thing though.
2. I get to have a nice dinner tonight.
3. We start our house construction on March 1.
4. Anyone know of a good place to get an estimated home value?
5. I have cute kids. Seriously.
 
1. Working from home this afternoon. I don't have a space heater here like I do at work, and I'm cold.
2. The office open house is on Thursday. Any of you Yinzers are welcome to come.
3. Today started with a breakfast meeting.
4. My Fiesta Ware collection is looking a little lop-sided. I see a trip to the factory soon.
5. I'm phasing out the yellow dishes. Food doesn't look as appetizing on those.

1. Finances are t-i-g-h-t this Christmas. Like never before.
2. I've been feeling the urge lately to make a trek to Moser's Austrian Café for their Austrian Gulasch

4. Bumpkins are an important component in our society and culture
5. Why are white boards/dry erase markers considered such an improvement over old school chalkboards?
 
1. This Christmas I am really trying to be more in the moment.
2. I wish I could cook for 25 people every weekend.
3. My kitchen needs to be expanded.
4. I really like good food. I wish we had a Michelin Starred restaurant within a short driving distance.
5. I like that my bottled water is no longer called bottled water, they call it purified water. As if that is why I bought it.
 
  1. Had a meeting with ERSI about GIS options. I am fearful about the $$$ on the proposal.
  2. It is frustrating when there is a time and place to discuss things and people get so emotional about topics they forget that, even if I agree with their position on topic.
  3. Wife thinks we should go gluten free after learning that our youngest as a gluten allergy. I think we might progress into a very unique eating situation of no dairy, soy, wheat, but still having meat, fruits and veggies.... except for my beer.
  4. The last tree blocking my view of the river will be coming down this week. It died because it was root bound. I have been accused of killing it.
  5. Had great news and not so good news in the same e-mail from the City Attorney this morning.

3. Band recital tonight for The Girl - 6th grade beginning band
4. Someone is on a power trip now & I'm staying out of their way
5. My body has gone into sleep avoidance mode - I'm not pleased with that
 
1) It feels more like May than December out there. Kind of nice even if it is 50 and a fog/rain mixture.
2) My seagulls are driving me bonkers. People in town can't believe they had the audacity to re-install the awning... for the 4th time.
3) Trying to decide if I want to use 1 1/2-inch or 2-inch stock for the rails and stiles for my kitchen cabinet doors.
4) Looking forward a week off for Christmas.
5) Looks like there is a flu outbreak at my son's school... and he was one of the early adopters. :r:
 
1. Oh this Christmas cookie season.
2. I had a glimpse of the sun today.
3. I wish I had a wand that I could wave to resolve citizen complaints.
4. Oh this Christmas lunch season.

1. I always try to make it to the end of the day to post 5 things.

1. I would probably not be friends with Rudolph. I don't know, he just doesn't seem like my type.

2. Home Builders brought in a bunch of Bojangles biscuits this morning. One inspector asked if they were poisoned.
3. Kinda slow over in the Random area right now. You know that will pick up this afternoon
4. I'm going to cleanup the desk fort today & tomorrow - at least move some piles of paper around
5. Friday is going to be a complete waste of day
 
1. Friday the Boss will be back and naturally that means we'll be back in crisis mode:r:

1. Cost of living is so confusing. There are so many variables to that number.
2. I have a lot to do today, but will I get it done?
3. My nose itches. I am always worried someone will think I am picking it. But it just itches.

5. I am always looking for something better professionally. Not sure if I will ever be satisfied. I guess that is a good thing.

1. A lot more traffic on the roads today as opposed to the last 2 weeks
2. Meeting last night was 2 times longer than it should have been due to windbag lawyers
3. Christmas has been packed away in the attic except for the wreath on the house & its coming down tonight
4. The Girl is super sleepy. She is getting up 3 hours earlier than she did during break, but having a hard time going to bed earlier.
5. I finally got through the end of the Random #9 year-end hink-a-thon blitzkrieg. Amazingly random stuff there.
 
5. Walkman is back, well sort of... It's a high-end digital device not cassette and it's going to cost over $1,100 dollars.
4. Yesterday was the first day back to school after Christmas Break; my girls did great, today not so much.
3. I really need to come with a Rube Goldbreg to assist with the wake up will until they get back into the swing of things.
2. I currently hide one of the dogs bones in under the covers of my youngest bed but know the dog doesn't look for the bone, she knows to wait till Littlest Owl gets out of bed and while she is waiting she snuggles up to her.
1. It's taken me an hour to finish this due to the phone calls and walk-in, if it wasn't for a frequent flier i would have ever finished it.

3. I might have pulled something in my leg playing soccer. That is the best reason ever at least though.

3. The facility renovation is nearly complete. I've never been happier to close out a project.
4. Looking for other employment opportunities, apparently so is my direct boss.
5. RT leaves for Asia in 11 days :(
 
1) It is COLD and snowing.
2) My mind has been all over the place today.
3) I did a facebook search on the nanny applicants. One got eliminated real quick.
4) I got crap loads of work done on the house over the past few days.
5) I bought my wife a kindle the other day. Her phone kept going dead because she was using the kindle app on it too much.
 
1. My brothers are coming in a week and a half. Time to de-clutter and clean up the apartment.
2. I'm eating beets grown by my grandma.
3. I need to move some boxes into storage but my car is a block away.
4. I rode my bike in the snow last night.
5. This is the first time this year there has been more than a dusting of snow.

3. I seem to have small amounts of free time, but often those come early in the morning or late at night

1. I hope we dodge the freezing rain and ice bullet in the morning.
2. I know there is light at the end of the tunnel but I don't know how long the tunnel is.
3. Last night's meeting makes me feel good about planning in my community.
4. I can't wait for the NC State/Carolina basketball game tomorrow night... State's win over #2 Duke makes me excited to be a State fan.
5. It's a good thing that I am okay with cold coffee as I don't seem to have time to drink it while it's hot.
 
1. The Buckeyes won the National Championship. It is a good day.
2. I have a night meeting. I must remember number 1....
3. Busy, busy, busy.
4. I would like to sleep for 14 hours one night.
5. I am pretty sure that will be three days total for me though....
 
1) It might be cold, but at least the sun is out today!
2) Ordered a FitBit Charge HR. Doctor recommended that I get a heart monitor.
3) While I am happy that a big ten team won the NCAA national football championship, I can't bring my self to cheer for the nuts.
4) I really need to find a wall calendar that I like. Mine runs out at the end of the month
5) We found a new nanny. Our old one got a full time job at a bank near her house. The new one is awesome although I do worry that a nonprofit or other fundraising group will hire her out from under us. Her resume is super impressive and my wife wants to adopt her (she is 19)
 
1. I like the taste of malt, well, except the alcoholic beverages.
2. A sunny day after a bad weather day seems to bring out the worst in drivers.
3. My assistant said that my shoes are geeky. I bought them in Target men's department.
4. I like chukka boots.
5. I'm daydreaming about warmer days.

2. Feel like I'm on the brink of doing something rash

5. Wish it was Friday, but then I've got a show to do on Saturday so there's no relief there either.
 
1) I was up until after midnight working on the Kitchen. Made great progress though.
2) Member of City Council is micromanaging again.
3) Way too much on my plate this week.
4) Met a new neighbor yesterday. He locked himself out of his apartment, without his cell phone, a coat, or shoes. He came over used my phone and I gave him a cup of coffee.
5) One of the seagulls e-mailed me at 8pm on a Saturday to "inform" me of something and wanted me to call him. AH, no buddy, we have court on Wednesday... tell it to the judge.
 
1. Threw my neck out yesterday. ow
2. Took the day off too. Spent much of it on heavy duty muscle relaxants
3. It's nice seeing light in the sky once again on morning commutes
4. No one did anything for me while I was gone. Fortunately, I wasn't burdened with high expectations
5. It's nice not having every freakin' night of the week filled with some duty or obligation.
 
1. Commission meeting today, or as we call it here, "The Big Show"
2. My seagulls seem to come in when they're done with or in between sessions with the commissioners - nothing yet.
3. One seagull is trying to get the state to declare a flood fill permit is needed for the judges house.
4. Writing up a training session on junkyard regulations - fun!
5. The wife and kids are already planning the garden for spring. Maybe I'll find that other thread to post more.
 
1. Today is a loaves and fishes office snack day. :)
2. My pencil once was lost, but now is found.
3. The winter weather advisory is cancelled.
4. Somebody's last day is today, and he's moving to greener pastures.
5. I'm going to ask my assistant to toast the ham sandwich I brought for lunch.

2. Sometimes the lack of communication is deafening
3. The Girl's broken pinky required a cast, partially thanks to the inept urgent care facility we visited Sunday when it happened

5. There's good beer waiting for me at the house (see winter brew exchange thread)

3. It seems I can't be untired.
4. I just am not sleeping well.

1) It's snowing again.
2) I am not feeling all that great and probably should not have come into work today.
3) Watched an episode of Tiny House Nation... interesting concept for a glorified mobile home.
4) I changed the way I take showers... after I finish washing, I turn the water as cold as I can stand it for 30 seconds, then turn it hot again for 30 seconds, then cold again for 30 seconds, then I get out. It wakes me up.
5) Looking at the calendar, this is going to be a very busy month.
 
1. Had an unexpected 3 day weekend due to snow/ice.
2. Back at work today but wish I were still home.
3. Catching up on paperwork and reporting since the project from hell is 99.9% complete and I am not responding to the whiners in that building anymore.
4. I need another cup of coffee.
5. Debating whether or not to go to the Devils vs. Senators game tonight.

5. We watched a car slide backwards, fast, down a steep street that was covered in ice. One jogger in Pittsburgh should be thanking a higher power that he wasn't hit by that car.
