1. I have a feeling that a guy who firmly shook my hand was trying to leave something on me. +o(
2. My daughter disappointed me and I'm not talking to her as much because I'm afraid I might say something I can't take back.

4. I would love to visit Parkersburg, WV, just because I haven't.
5. Some people really do think that meteorologists PLAN the weather.
 
LP, we need to get an official adjudication on this, but I'm fairly confident this meets all the necessary criteria for a 'post of the day'.

1. Tomorrow's calendar is jammed packed, Thursday's too - Today's not so much
2. The next couple months could prove to be stressful beyond present day status
3. I hate relying on someone else to complete their task before I can continue mine. And it's not like I could do it for them or else I would have already finished.
4. Vacation is just a few short weeks away - please hurry
5. I thought of something for this last night, but now I've forgotten it. Getting old :-{

1. My allergies are bad today.
2. I am tired of the rain we've had this summer.
3. Looking forward to our trip to Montreal in a few weeks.
4. I have to facilitate an intervention with the one staff person on our team who is habitually late. She's cost the other 5 of us the ability to have Fridays off for the rest of summer and doesn't get why it's important to us.
5. My boss is at a convening in Vermont yesterday and today. We took a poll and decided tomorrow will be a 'working from home' day for her.
 
1) The seagull is on TV. I know because I was driving by as the camera was facing the street.
2) It feels like fall out there today
3) A friend was bragging about her new office with a view of a gulf course just beyond the parking lot. I didn't bother to point out that my 2nd floor office window overlooks a yacht harbor.
4) I saw an attachment for a motor cycle helmet that turns the helmet into a 3rd break light.
5) The phrase "Not My Monkey, Not My Circus" is a concept I need to work better at following.
 
1. My boss is out for the rest of the week.
2. Tomorrow sounds like a good day to do some field visits. :)
3. Sadly, I do have a deadline on a project for Monday.
4. T-minus 4 weeks and counting until wife's due date.
5. At least we are finally settled into our new digs and have baby's room almost complete!
 
1. It's 5:20, I'm still working and am just eating my lunch.
2. Son #2 is at a music festival today.
3. Being a stay-at-home mom was rewarding, but so is my job.
4. I've had my cake and have eaten it too.
5. I drove through a couple of towns today and wished I could stop and explore them.
 
1. Lunch plans have been cancelled so I'm free if anyone wants to go grab a bite
2. The Girl comes home Friday after a month away - a quiet house will come to an end
3. Mrs. P & I are very ready for her to be back home
4. Rainy all week, but at least I got the lawn mowed Sunday during a short dry spell

1. Appraisal for the house under contract went well. I hope the number comes in where it needs to so I can get it sold.
2. My ED called at 8:55. Wanted to know if I could put some planters in his illegal parking lot. I said I could, but who is going to maintain them? He says I'm right but could I figure something out to not make it look so utilitarian. :r:
3. My GC is a two brother team. My ED wants a quote from them. I told him he'd have to wait until August because Jorge is in Portugal. He says what about Tony. I said, Jorge is The Brain half. He laughed and said, ok we'll wait for The Brain to come back.
4. I have a lot of data to scrub clean and aggregate for a program that isn't mine. I was voluntold to make a chart and a map....except I don't have GIS.
5. 8 days more and I am on vacation for a week.

It is going to be hot and humid today. My wife loves this weather.
The community outrage over my Seagulls signs is getting very loud.
I have to attend a neighborhood meeting tomorrow night to hear about an amendment they want to make to a subarea plan that I wrote a few years ago.
Watched the movie Homefront this weekend. Makes me wonder if Jason Statham has ever done a move where he did not beat the crap out of a bad guy.

Cracker Barrel does seem to attract more than its fair share of crusty old farts.

2. Spent time helping Mom establish basis for her houses.

2. New cheer from The Girl; "Go, Go, Fight, Fight, Gee I hope I look all right!" They were making up cheers and poking fun at some others.
3. Rookie promo dept must be enjoying the legal smoke in Colorado. The Rockies misspelled Troy Tulowitzki's name on the back of the give away t-shirt
4. I had to take The Girl to her grandparents this morning. I like riding the back country roads to work - some nice curvy roads.
5. I much prefer Krispy Kreme doughnuts, but if I have to have a DD, I do like their glazed sour cream doughnut.
 
1. Dog decided to re decorate the house last night.
2. So humid lately and the rain came right as I pulled into work.
3. AICP Prep with an employee was postponed due to rather long front counter discussion with a retired ARMY Colonel.
4. ARMY Colonel was a great guy who had a interesting story
5. Life and work for that matter have become rather entertaining lately.

  2. The weather is quite cool outside today
  3. My credit union has done somethings that have worried me lately
  4. There is a local realtor, who is extremely rude, that is imploding
  5. We are baptizing our youngest next weekend... which means that we will have tons of family for the weekend. :r:

2. My son likes to start lots of projects but he's not terribly good at finishing them...doesn't bode well for his future

1. I had the Cyburbian desktop shutout for most of the day here too
2. The left lane is for passing not sitting running 2 mph over the speed limit - I'm passing more in the far right lane than ever before
3. Two weirdo things I'm afraid to try: Bacon / Mac & Cheese flavored potato chips and Draft Beer Jelly Belly jelly beans
4. I even like bacon & mac/cheese & potato chips & draft beer & jelly beans but c'mon
5. No air conditioning in my office for the last 2 days. I'm going to request hazard pay

  2. This day started shaky but is progressively getting better and better
  3. One side of the State is flooded, the other side needs the rain
  4. A very cool project is expected to break ground in 6 weeks... after 2 years of waiting
  5. It is a shame about Robin Williams, but depression can be hell.

3. I went bowling last night
4. I've eaten at IHOP 3 times within the last week
5. I leave for Japan next Monday
 
1. Why can't they just leave potato chips potato-flavored?
2. It's not a good idea to send me a 2 page email bitching about an inspection report and complaining about everyone else's sites.
3. Looks like I'm leaving work in time to drive in the rain.
4. I was shut out of desktop and phone.

1. Our bathroom scale is in storage, but I'm pretty sure I've lost weight recently
2. Mrs. Maister undoubtedly means well but she is teaching Junior to hate doing schoolwork with her nagging
3. Hard to believe Halloween is only 9 weeks away
4. The temperatures this summer have been quite pleasant for the most part
5. I had a dream last night that I was making the household annual budget and got hung up on how much to allocate towards the purchase of shoestring replacements:-|

3. Part of me is looking forward to school starting so we can get back to "normal"

3. It was overcast this morning but we're entering that time of the year where the sun shines directly into your eyes during the morning commute.

1. My brother & I are creating a plan for our oldest brother's big 60th b-day
2. Schedule coordination is the most difficult aspect of the plan at this time
3. It looks like the BOC is gong to pull the plug on my building renovation project due to lack of community support
4. Not the best news to start the day with (@ a 7:00 am meeting)
5. Minor league baseball season is over this weekend
 
  • My eldest is a freshman at NMU
  • There arestill working phone jacks in the dorms, wanted to send up a funky rotary dial so i can ring her room anytime
  • I've discovered county tax auctions for the bargain sales of realestate
  • Not all is as it seems, buyer beware
  • Okay so i am a sucker for property on the great lakes...For sale: wooded vacant lot on Hammond Bay Lake Huron anybody????
 
1. Kids starting school makes me feel old.
2. I guess I am getting there.
3. We have lots going on this month and next.
4. By this time next year I hope to have started a house remodel.
5. But the way the architects drawings are going I am going to need to win the lottery first....
 
1. Youngest son starts work at Target tonight.
2. Lunch is happening in my truck in a parking lot.
3. I had a four-day weekend and each of the four days was very good.
4. I I travelled 5 different highways with no anxiety, but was a nervous wreck
driving on Pittsburgh highways this morning.
5. I like wearing unique shoes, but I don't like high heels.

2. A colleague's ISP is blocking my IP address, claiming it's been identified as a spammer.
3. I've got way too much on my plate to be spamming anyone.

RT turned 21 today.
Since she works with my division we all took her out to lunch at the sushi place.
We killed a triple decker red velvet cake from Calandra's Bakery (best bakery around).
I'm going crazy trying to get 3 projects off "the bubble" and get them going in earnest.
My ED basically handcuffed my ability to do much on 2 of them by using my unencumbered property as collateral on something else. 8-!
 
1. Labor Day weekend was overshadowed by work concerns. It was hard to enjoy myself knowing what awaits me today
2. Junior's first day of school today. It's a half day
3. Junior ran a lemonade stand on Sunday. He was planning on making $60 but only cleared $14. He was discouraged (last time he made $28 in an about an hour)
4. Watched part of the new Cosmos series this weekend. That was enjoyable and educational.
5. Back to the gym today....except they're doing construction there that's inconveniencing everything:-{
 
1. It's Tuesday, not Monday, but it sure is feeling Monday like.
2. I was ready for bed last night @ 8:30, but didn't make it until 10:00
3. Boy it was hot this weekend & I got to sit in a pool one day and in the lake another
4. Pizza on Friday. Burgers & hot dogs on the grill Saturday evening. Pork butt on the cooker Sunday evening. Monday leftovers. :D
5. Fun to talk college football results this morning with 'the boys'
 
  1. Preparing for court with the seagull tomorrow, and I learned that he is representing himself.
  2. Miniskis did great going to kindergarten this morning. I think I saw more parents crying than kids, he wanted to know why so many mommy's were sad.
  3. Interesting set up for his kindergarten. It has K and 1st grade in the same classroom or "discovery" but each grade as their own teacher.
  4. I am going to go pick Miniskis up from kindergarten later this afternoon.
  5. Our nanny is in for a nice break. She is going from 3 kids at home all summer, to only an 11 month old. (Pay will be adjusted)
 
1. Long weekend. LONG weekend.
2. Too much work to do.
3. I am less productive when I have too much to do.
4. Why is cost per s.f. so variable.
5. I like my potential builder. He is a straight shooter.

[ot]As an NMU alumni, I think it is a wonderful school and she made a great choice! I just hope that she as a ton of warm clothes because the winters there can be brutal. Thus the reason the football team plays in a dome.[/ot]
 
1. Pole banner design approved. This makes me happy. Now I can order the dang things.
2. I hate when coworkers aren't held accountable and I have to resolve the issue and make magic happen.
3. Tomorrow I have my first "laydurship" class. Hey, it's a free day out of the office once a month.
4. It's going to be interesting trying to get this $500K project off and running with a shoestring line of credit.
5. Bought my airline tickets home from San Juan, PR (we're cruising down) and three ticket to the DR for Thanksgiving today.

  4. My oldest told me that a kid was picking on him because he prayed before lunch and wanted to know if it was ok to punch that kid in the face. :-|
  5. I saw a $200,000 Ferrari parked in a normal on street parking space last Friday with out of state plates. I applaud someone who owns that kind of car and actually drives it. :p
