Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Tuesday

1) The advent of AC season is easier on my allergies.
2) I'm not tempted to drive with my windows down and open the windows at home
3) Glad btrage's car repairs as cheap as they were
4) I had similar work done at it was more expensive
5) Darn it, y'all made look at the student lounge thread
 
1. Today I learned how to make a blue line copy from a mylar.
2. Today I learned how to use an architectural scale.
3. Today I learned a little bit about GIS.
4. I know SOMETHING about planning, I swear.
5. Other than learning some things I really should already know, I have not accomplished much today. More coffee needed.
 
1) It's a beautiful day here, ate lunch outside with a friend
2) Took a wrong turn on the way back to the office and ended up with a driver's tour of downtown
3) Leaving early to check on the landscaping crew at the house
4) Will watch a little TV when home, so I can catch up on my shows
5) Am behind on my mom-in-law's gift - need to carve out some significant time this weekend to finish
 
1. Is it really Tuesday? I seriously thought it was Wednesday. Darn.
2. About your question Maister, there was a long-time candy shop here that I’d been meaning to visit for several years… well, I went to see if they had rock candy last week and it turned out they’d closed last December. Guess I should have visited sooner and often. :(
3. One of the staff at my gym looks like he is taking too much testosterone… not because he’s super bulky, but he always has this look like he’d twist someone’s neck if given the chance. I would not want him for a personal trainer. Although I guess his simmering anger would be an effective motivator.
4. We adopted a cat last week and he is ridiculously affectionate. Needy cat = pure awesomeness. But he can still chill by himself like a regular cat.
5. Alright, getting back to work now... seriously...

2. Was inspecting an abandoned building yesterday, opened a door and 2 cats came running out, scared the bejesus out of me

3. May be selling my car this week, and seeing how long we can go with a single vehicle.
4. Going to the Tigers/Braves games this Friday with a friend.
5. Meeting tonight. Ugh.

1. I miss having a pooch on occasion, but not when it comes to spring poop pickup

3. I'm gonna have a big ol' ham & salami sammich for lunch (with lettuce, onion, pickles and mayo)
4. I've got an empty 30 pack of Stroh's in the garage. I must really like the blue packaging with the picture of the foaming tankard, because I get a hankering for Strohs every time I walk by it.
5. Learned that my relatives living in Grand Rapids were unaffected by the flooding of the Grand River

2. The last 2 days more than made up for a $hitty Friday.
3. I like inspecting complaints along the bike trail.
4. I have mild burns from sunscreen on my face, Planit.
5. Pretty soon, people will be able to ride bikes on a bike trail that connects Pittsburgh to Washington, DC.
 
1. Winter called, it wants its weather back.
2. I got to play GC today because his office was under police lockdown and the bad guy jumped off a roof and landed next to his truck while evading police.
3. I give props to the demo and excavation guy for being able to back a dump truck into very tight quarters without hitting anything, ok maybe the tree just a little...
4. Got a parking ticket for parking when I was dropping off docs at the administrative office. Thanks Newark.
5. Why do utility companies have to be so difficult?

Sometimes you just accept that things aren't going to get better and don't make the jump. You just become burned out and bitter. :r:

2. I have wanted to do some backyard grilling in the worst way for the past week....sadly Mrs. Maister had dental surgery right around the time the weather started getting nice and we've had nothing but soup, soup, soup, and soup:(
3. got the lettuce sowed last night, but forgot to sow my favorite lettuce variety - green ice. I'll have to do so tonight

5. during the 1950's westerns ruled television and film. Nowadays no one makes westerns. I think we've gone too far in that direction. I'd like to see some new westerns made (and yes, I fully intend to buy the complete Tombstone series on DVD)

4. In some ways, it turns out better. You keep your eyes on that prize ((( hug )))

5. I have been having a recurring dream about finding a bag of money. It's an awesome dream. I also never get shot in the end which is what I think happens when you find a bag of money in real life.

1. Wearing tee shirt that starts "Advice from a Cardinal"; the bird, not the Cyb, not the Catholics.
2. RJ is grilling fajitas for dinner tonight. Yum.
3. Spent two hours pressure-washing the pool area today. Sometimes "mindless" is good.
4. I still have days more of pressure-washing walls, pool deck, outdoor furniture...
5. The manager at Publix gave me a good tip today about pool deck paint.
 
1. I finally finished writing an ordinance that's been on my to-do list for a week. It wasn't that hard.
2. I'm getting pedicures with some girlfriends tonight after work. I suspect it's a surprise birthday thing for me.
3. I hope it is, otherwise I'll feel awkwardly disappointed, and won't be able to tell anyone why.
4. My Dayquil is wearing off.
5. I buy too much stuff for my son. I'm turning him into a little materialist.

1. The boss's mom and another planner's dad have both died in the last 4 days. Rather subdued around here :(
2. My wife is going away for a long weekend visit with her aunt and uncle.
3. Looking forward to my own alone time but also worried about the inevitable cleanup I will have to do perform before she returns.
4. She is required to provide me 2 hours notice before arrival so I can right all the wrongs I did in housekeeping while she was gone.
5. 1 night meeting down this week. 3 to go. Just peachy.
