Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Tuesday

1. My son is turning 5 next month and I swear, he has become 25% more enjoyable to hang out with in the last month, something just happened over night. He was fun before, but some kind of “not a little kid anymore” switch flipped in his brain I guess.
2. Kind of makes me feel old that he won’t be in preschool much longer. :(
3. I have about 10 mini cupcakes left from St. Patty’s Day… chocolate cupcakes with Bailey’s in the batter and in the icing.
4. Wish I had one now.
5. Also wish I could go to the gym right now, have had way too much coffee today.
 
1. Always a good day when you get to meet another cyburbian.
2. So much slippery slush in the parking lots today, that I came close to face planting twice.
3. I've been away so long from cyburbia that I just realized I don't know how to private message anyone, well unless I'm responding to a message someone sent me and I get a pop-up window. That makes me a little sad.
4. Thinking about going to see a show at Lincoln Hall when I'm in Chicago, so I've been looking for info on the venue (and failing). Learned a lot about a dead climber from Australia though.
5. Someone mentioned Chet in the another thread, and that made me miss him so I googled 'where in the world is bturk'. Didn't LOL, but definitely LQTM.

5. Free workshop for 4.5 CM credits, I'm signing up.
 
1. It's entirely possible I may have over-committed myself. There's not enough of me to go around to adequately contend with the obligations of work, radio theater production, domestic responsibilities, and children's activities.:-s
2. It was charming at first to experience folks sucking up to me at auditions so they could get roles, but the novelty has long since worn off and it's gotten quite tiresome
3. I can't believe Easter is this weekend
4. Must be going on close to a month of being 'between books'. I can find neither the time nor motivation to get into any book right now.
5. I had a stout last night called 'Moo Juice'. The name alone was enough to entice me to try it
 
1. So much to do this week, can't forget no work on Friday or I'll be working on Friday from home!
2. Might I see Planit at 4.5 free CM credits on April 10?
3. I wish we had Monday off after Easter instead of Friday, makes travel difficult with a Sunday holiday, guess I'll be staying here :(
4. My duties at work or sort of in limbo because of all this crappy state legislation affecting Planning in NC. I'm hitting my 5 years this summer...need to start thinking of my next move.
5. A big project I have working on is starting to finish up, love that feeling when I'll stop getting call from that development group!
 
1. I need to look in to the 4.5 free CM credit on April 10th.
2. It is cold and windy today.
3. I can't wait for warmer weather as I am wanting to go fishing.
4. I hope that there is still pizza in the fridge when I go home for lunch.
5. I am so ready for my truck to be finished.
 
1. Smoke & Fire inspection passed on the new house I'm nearly finished building.
2. Waiting for the buyer's inspector at 1pm. This clown tried to schedule Friday at 6pm. Who does that?
3. Waiting to figure out if we will be having Easter at home or making the trek to MA since my future father-in-law is supposed to be here sometime in the next 10 days.
4. Flights booked to Portland!
5. My boss didn't tell the ED she was going to Atlanta for 3 days or he didn't pay attention. He was all atwitter trying to locate her today.
 
1. Boy started baseball. New Cleats, pants, bat.
2. Girl started track at the Jr. High. Running shoes, fees, sweats and "cute" shorts.
3. Easter dresses for four girls. Oh yeah, shoes.
4. Easter shirts for two boys.
5. I think I may have a "debit card wrist injury". Except it makes me more nauseous than achy. :)

2. almost lost a good planning commissioner with a 2-1 vote
3. ready to get out of here alread and it's not even 1
4. I get to enjoy my daughter's science fair project - can't wait to see it
5. What's up with Detroit gettting a manager? Glad I'm not there.

1. The trouble with taking Monday off is that it makes for a long Tuesday
2. Knowing that tomorrow is mid-week makes it o.k.
3. Knowing that Thursday will be my Friday makes it even better.
4. Good Friday is really good when you have the day off.

1. There is nothing more exciting than watching the Blackhawks score a goal...live right in front of you! Like last night!

3. Steven Tyler turned 65 today. Gosh, I remember when he was 45 and was considered old then!...and people thought 1993's Get a Grip would be Aerosmith's last album.
4. It's so refreshing to get a haircut.
5. The local Walmart was actually not too busy this evening. I was must have been smart by waiting until Tuesday (vs. Monday) or waiting until 7 to shop.

2) Trying to get some landscape work estimates - and it seems like business must be good for them!
3) Easter brought much chocolate, and I forgot to bring the extras to work to share.

5) Elderly dogs cause much worry, and both my dogs are old.

1. Meeting during lunch hour means leaving an hour early. Yay!

1. Today is the boss's final day at work.

2. It's a good friends b-day today. I called her this morning (8:00 am) to wish her a Happy Birthday and woke her up. She was taking the day off - I feel so bad now.
3. 81 is the projected high today - going to go for a nice walk on the rail trail
4. Contractors estimate to fix the garage door was $300. My DYI fix actually cost $12 in parts and about 2 hours of time (and 3 cuss words during the project)
5. b_b still hasn't told me where she's taking me for lunch
 
1) Tonight is the first of three night meetings this week.
2) I came in late because of the night meeting.
3) Made my own pineapple-blueberry juice this morning. Yum!
4) My boss can't make up her mind - send plans for review in electronic form, or paper copies? She's gone back and forth for two months!
5) The puppy picture on my calendar keeps looking at me with a little face that says "Take me home!"

1. The sun is at long last shining today, but sadly the news in Boston has effectively ended my inner sunshine today
2. Insanely busy this week. So was last week
3. Busy I said, but not particularly productive (a bad combo if ever there was)
4. When was the last time you went to a candy store - I mean a store that sells exclusively candy?
5. I STILL haven't put up the greenhouse. The weather and a million other things have conspired against me, but I am at least partly to blame (I had a couple hour window on Sunday that I spent playing with my son instead....so we get started a few weeks later than I planned)
 
1. At this morning's Commission meeting a Head Start class came for a proclamation of the "Week of the Young Child." It is wonderful how a bunch of young kids make all the grown-ups smile.
2. I like children. Adults I can take or leave, but children make the world a better place to live in.
3. Today a car alarm caused concern, rather than annoyance and apathy.
4. The guy who runs the cafe in the basement of the office building is calling it quits next month. I will miss his food and company.
5. My son made the A honor roll this quarter. He always makes the honor roll, but usually with one B. I had to make good on the promise to take him to the best restaurant in town. It was expensive, but worth it.
 
1. I am trying to wrap my head around yesterday.
2. I got effectively nothing accomplished yesterday afternoon. And I am okay with that.
3. It is amazing how many phones numbers I call in a day.
4. I get tired of fighting the good fight some days.
5. I don't know if the grass is greener, but I might want to find out.
 
1. The village idot spoke again, this time the comp. plan is racist because it splits household income by racial groups
2. Naturally my comp. plan demographics come from the census, so the census is racist
3. The cold weather needs to stop. I want spring!
4. Today I might practice some tennis with the 6 year old
5. I'll say a few extra prayers for Boston again.
 
1. I haven't found myself particularly moved by the events in Boston.
2. The massive media coverage is exactly what the asshole(s) want.
3. $760 in vehicle repairs today.
4. Spring temperatures have arrived.
5. Overall, I'm actually feeling good today, which is contrary to #1 and #3.
