Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Tuesday

1. Was planning to get a tree on Sunday but it was raining all day so no tree yet.
2. Going to get a small tree because I’ll most likely be carrying it in/out myself.
3. Am working on a planning project that overall is pretty interesting but there’s one task that is so boring it’s killing me.
4. Hence I am thinking about Christmas trees. :)
5. Chinchillas are super cute.
 
1. I think a wayfinding sign presentation should be titled "I'll tell you where to go"
2. Had to go to sprawlmart at lunch - I hate that place
3. Thanks to ursus, the Inspector Gadget song is stuck in my head
4. Apple butter is good stuff
5. Beer-thirty can't come soon enough
 
1. I have not had latin since I was a sophomore in high school
2. popsicles are a cool idea no matter how you slice it
3. I'm glad I'm not a dog
4. I have rode in a taxi a grand total of two times in my life
5. I have rode on trains a grand total of three times
 
1. I like pizza. A lot.
2. Being busy at work = job security I suppose.
3. My 6 year old went to her first sleep over this past Saturday. She will not have a problem leaving home when she gets older.

5. I'm about half-way into my 3 month "Holiday Season" of Halloween through the Super Bowl.
 
1. I am being asked to pick up the carpools today. I'll have to drive back up to work for PC meeting. :not:

3. I have never been in a union unless you count my marriage.

4. I have not been in a taxi since a very rainy day 20 years ago in Argentina.

5. I need to find time in the next two days to meet up with Tide while he's in SLC!

3. Case of California's finest delivered today.
4. Finished Christmas shopping.
5. Platters of food from the big developer -- well, that was actually yesterday but we're still eating from the delivery.
 
1. Spent the morning dealing with a flat tire on the wife's car :-{
2. Completed a contract that ensures Christmas will occur at our house :D
3. Weather is too cold for my taste but at least it's sunny and dry :tx:
4. Grandson's 2nd birthday is this Saturday, got to get something for him <:D
5. Ack, Christmas is only 10 days after that! 8-! :-c
 
1. I want to order a case of my favorite California wine too, but I'm on a budget.
2. I am drinking gin and ginger ale.
3. MW and I have been planning our family vacation to Maine this fall
4. We are inviting my parents and both of my brothers
5. We still haven't decided on a destination and I'm shocked to see so many places that already have reservations for September

1. Our cat seems to be much happier now that she's had most of her teeth removed (her breath is better, too). :)

4. I may be spending Christmas Day loading software onto my new computer... unless it arrives late.
5. When I was a child, I would spend Christmas Day at the movies with my Jewish grandparents.

1. We went to the orthopedic doc today and found out that SeaMonkey's hips are all healed up :)
2. I am done Christmas shopping as of 5 minutes ago.
3. Maybe santa will bring me a gym membership (and the money to pay for it :p)
4. I am a little tired of hearing about gun rights.
5. My kid just puked on me.

Excellent news about SeaMonkey :)

Babies have the uncanny ability to puke on you at the most inopportune times. Arabella was a reliable spitter just until recently, RT swears that it only happened when she was holding her. ;)

4. I will be working most of the time between Friday and the New Year. I'm a construction manager, we're a little hardcore.....we haven't had a hard freeze yet!
5. Tomorrow is our office potluck, so I'm making chicken enchiladas with homemade green sauce tonight.

Still no measurable snow in Chicago, should get some Thursday which is the day I was planning on taking a day trip to Milwaukee
I rode the Holiday Train today on the CTA, though I'm pretty sure Christmas is the only holiday represented
Third day eating chicken curry and I still have some left over for 1 or 2 more meals
 
First 5 things to 2013!

1. I wonder if Buddhism will help my outlook on life.
2. Looking forward to a Godiva Chocolixir in NYC.
3. Hubby's Navy schedule is messing with possible surgery dates.
4. We have a meeting on the 24th with our adoption social worker.
5. I messed with my clock this morning and some how changed the time so that I got up for work at 6:15 rather than 7:15.

Bonus:
6. After I realized my mistake I got back in bed to catch more zzzzz'z.
 
1. Bhuddism can certainly help with one's outlook on life, but is no antidote for clinical depression
2. I got this love-hate thing going on with beer
3. I'm glad no one considers me the den leader for my son's cub scout group (although I am nominally the "co-den leader")
4. I'm wondering if I should start the 2013 Garden thread myself or wait and see if the topic interests folks enough now that someone else will start it
5. I like the show "Elementary" on Thurs. nights. Refreshing new take on the old Sherlock Holmes/Dr. Watson partnership

5. I think by BB is starting to go down hill but don't want to get a new phone.

1. The sun is shining here and it warmed the inside of my work truck so much that I drove with the window down for a while.
2. I love when I have to make a contractor do something that's on the plan, and after it's done, he can't believe how well it works.
3. My daughter is taking an Old South history class. She knows to keep the materials and book for me to read.

5. My mind woke up long before the rest of me did this morning; all kinds of thoughts were going through my mind.
 
1. I slept 8 hours last night. Better than the 3.5 hours the night before.

4. I don't work late anymore because my other half is taking night classes now.

- I wish I could see my desk or the floor of my office.
- Sometimes I want to create a cardboard cut out of myself and see if anyone would notice as they walk by.

1. The "Captain" attended the Board hearing this morning displaying his patents for Gulf oil spill clean-up system and asteroid protection system.
2. The "Captain" goes before the code enforcement board next month for storing his inventions in his front yard.
3. The neighbors who oppose the proposed boat ramp are not giving-up.
4. Leftover lasagna for dinner tonight.
5. The house improvements in response to the termite inspection are starting to amp up with the purchase of 145 square feet of new tile to refinish our shower.
 
1. Played golf today and the greens went from frozen to wet to sloppy to fast.
2. Donovan McNabb was eating breakfast at the same restuarant I was at. I felt bad when people went up to him and ask for a picture. He is retired, let him eat his eggs.
3. One of the boards I staff was supposed to have a meeting on Thursday that I did not prepare for so I get to reschedule it
4. I feel that my duties as assigned are rarely as important as the other duties that are assigned...honestly I like itthat way
5. One of the side effects of my little brother's chemo is anus itching...I wonder how that would sound as a side effect on TV
 
1. I spent 3 hours working on compliance reports that are way past due. Copy, paste, robosign!
2. I spent 4 hours at the fiscal office with my accountant getting to the figures we needed to entirely draw down the remaining grant funds from the city.
3. I was late getting home so my other half was a little late for his class :r:
4. The baby ate two potato wedges and a ginger/garlic spiced turkey kebab for dinner. She chowed it down, I hope it doesn't come back to haunt in the middle of the night.
5. I like having mommy & baby only time in the evenings since the man is taking night classes.
