Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Friday

1. Hockey game tonight - nephew in town to play as/against college alumni.
2. Mrs. STTG off to Wyoming to attend her uncle's funeral.
3. Snapped a pic of the entering Wyoming sign - told her she was returning home - lived her first year in Wyoming.
4. Looks like snow off and on today.
5. Looking forward to taking the boys and dil to Sabaton next week.
 
1) Busy day, but ends with a Happy Hour!

2) No plans tomorrow, but Sunday's list is long.

3) Want to catch up on my shows!!

4) Tattoo is healing up nicely. I'll show it to you all when it's ready.

5) I foresee a casserole for dinner tomorrow.
 
1) Batting 1K at BOA meetings so far since starting here. :brofist:

2) Also batting 1K at P&Z! :brofist:

3) Slept like a log last night, and am slow to kick it in gear this morning. :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:

4) Big Boss is about to be gone for 2 weeks. I don't know yet if this place will be calmer with him gone, but personally, if it gets much calmer I might fall asleep. :sleep:

5) Hard to believe tomorrow is the last day of the month! Time flies!

1. High of 60 expected this week - tee time with my boys
2. Looks like a generous tax refund but at the cost of taking out some 401k money last year to pay bills
3. Should pay off the remainder of the three Alaska cruise cabins
4. Son finalized his travel plans for a May Kauai trip to attend a friends wedding, airfare was only $400
5. Several code amendments in the works
 
1) Posting early because it is going to be sunny and 72 and I intend to RJ this afternoon. Also have family in Town again this weekend.

2) Terrific turnout at a new chamber event this morning.

3) My oldest had a call back for the lead role in an upcoming play this spring. He does not think he will get it because of one of the other kids who is really talented and a senior also got a call back for that same role. We hope to hear this weekend how it went.

4) Youngest plays with his team for their rec-league division championship tonight. The team they are playing was the only loss of the season, but watching them practice last night and the coach going through all the details on how the other team plays and what they need to do makes me optimistic.

5) I need to find more Building inspectors. We had one retirement last month and another the end of next week.
 
1. Quiet in the office today... need to take advantage

2. Went to the "Fast Mart" across the street for a snack. Found out they have a whole section on international snacks including chips from Japan (crab flavored, steak flavored, cucumber flavored). Apparently they stock random Red Bull flavors too.

3. Really dont seem to have any plans this weekend... maybe a triple header of hockey games tomorrow.

4. I honestly don't know if the torrent of work will abate.

5. ALA @michaelskis I need to find a building permit tech now...
 
1 - new restaurant opened downtown - I sent out a text to our dept head group about it & 17 people showed up
2 - it is a very nice day here & we all sat outside tables
3 - not quite the cultural weekend we had last weekend, but tonight we're going to an event at the Science Center & tmrrw night MLS soccer
4 - mom sent The Girl a valentine card and put a hershey bar in with the card - she just got it this week with the envelope torn & the candy bar crushed/flattened/mangled
5 - can't wait to be coastal next week & hopefully get some fishing in.
 
1) Ate too much for lunch, now I'm sleepy.

2) No big plans for the weekend. Run a couple errands, laundry, you know, the usual.

3) The ISD by my house is having a school holiday today. The ISD by my work is not.

4) More rain coming!

5) I really should get my nails done. I just don't want to spend the $$$ or have to schedule the appt.

3. No kids this weekend, meeting a friend for drinks after work.

4. Going to be in the upper 60s tomorrow... time to open some windows

5. Site selector meeting coming up, then will put in a couple more hours and dip early.
 
1-hanging with friends down east this weekend after the conference
2-I hadn’t been to this conference in a few years & it was great see colleagues from the past
3-it’s too windy to take the boat out & go fishing
4-Mrs. P found a recipe for a Guinness chocolate cake that sounds so very good
5-expanding the main road down here to limited access & have demolished everything on one side of the road to just piles of rumble.
 
1. Many people who try to call me will hang up and send a text asking me to call. If they leave a voicemail asking me to call, I will.
2. It's very windy here. I decided to carry a bedspread to the laundromat. It seemed silly to make a drive that takes longer than it takes to walk here.
3. Our rescheduled office holiday party is tomorrow night.
4. Fred Rogers memorabilia is displayed at the party venue. We were asked to wear cardigans.
5. The laundromat is a peaceful place. I don't mind coming here.
 
1) Took the day off to mentally recharge.

2) Went through my clothes and Marie Kondo would be proud.

3) My crockpot dinner came out great! Hubby had seconds.

4) Not too much planned this weekend. Might visit my aunt and her cats.

5) I love it when I find something that I was looking for. Of course, it was where it shouldn't be.
 
1. sat outside today for lunch it was so nice
2. tomorrow we're headed to a brewery about 45 mins away in the mountains with a 40-acre 'farm'
3. have to go on a site visit in about 30 minutes for a development who wants to know how to build a trail across a spillway, they probably won't like my answer
4. Mrs. P & I usually have the news on in the mornings while we get ready, this morning she turned it off
5. the Guinness chocolate cake was great.
 
1. Did not get the position (new location) I interviewed for last week. Neither did four others.
2. Likely will not move from where I am now before potential retirement in 2028.
3. Higher pay position would push out date of retirement.
4. No idea if COLA is in the works for new budget year.
5. Additional bigbox certainly added to the city's revenue.
 
1) Lunchtime board meetings - always check that your camera and microphone are off when eating! We don't need to see nor want to hear it.

2) It's very warm here. Temps a good 15-20 degrees above normal.

3) Weekend plans are on the calendar!

4) Anyone else get bored with some of the routine tasks at work? They are slow/tedious to do, but if you don't do them, other tasks can't be completed.

5) Vegas in a couple of week!!
 
1. Burritos and tacos for lunch today with my manager. Great local spot on the side of the highway out of an old bus.

2. My manager ordered in Spanish and when I tried to order in Spanish, they switch to English when replying.

3. Its been one of those weeks where you really earn your weekend.

4. Hockey on tonight (Avs/Blackhawks), going to make some Hawaiian chicken.

5. Really looking forward to "sleeping in" tomorrow... but that will likely be till 7am.
