  1. The Packers looked good, but Sea Hawks looked better :not:
  2. Wife is at an ethics conference today. She joked that she might leave early. :lmao:
  3. We have a contractor who gets frustrated that he doesn't know where his approvals are, but has NEVER submitted a complete application the first time.
  4. Weather people say today will be the last warm and humid day and that it will not be above the mid 60's here for next weekend.
  5. I have so much to do on my house that it is a bit overwhelming.
 
1. My diet coke this morning said Go-Getter
2. I'm not sure how I feel about a pep talk from a soft drink
3. Sinus season has been a nightmare here
4. What is the Fall y'all keep talking about?
5. The forecast is for 90+ temps and storms for the next week.
 
1. I like dreaming about our house renovation.
2. I don't like freaking out about the costs.
3. I would imagine any house renovation causes trouble between married people.
4. It seems like it just requires it.
5. Unless you are the same person with EXACTLY the same ideas for the space...
 
1. Had to leave home early this morning to let the contractors in on a job site. rt gave me the most mournful look as I said goodbye to her.
2. RT took rt to the babysitter this morning, she drove her by the job site so the baby could say hi. She was in a better mood.
3. The last remaining house to be sold closed this morning without any hiccups. I'm thrilled for the buyer.
4. Going to spend the rest of the day babysitting contractors. I'm going to go home and change into more comfortable clothes.

1.. Had lunch at a place along the Allegheny River. One of my state co-workers is transferring to another region.
2. We're expecting a rainy weekend.
3. I'm thinking of ideas for good sandwiches for dinner.

5. Re: #1, there's going to be a whole lot of bluffing going on until that person is replaced.
 
1. They say this week was a short one; I disagree. I'm exhausted.

  1. Sister and Brother-in-law will be here in a few hours to watch the kids.
  2. My youngest will turn 1 next week.
  3. Art Prize was busy last night, it is likely to be stupid busy this weekend
  4. I hope the control tower fire in Chicago is resolved soon. It has made a mess of air travel in the Midwest
  5. Met a homeless guy from GA who came up here for art-prize because he thought that artists would be more charitable. He asked me for money, I gave him a full stamp card for a free McDonalds coffee. He was very grateful.
 
1. Playing in an over 30 co-ed indoor soccer league.
2. That makes me feel old.
3. I really like kettle cooked bbq chips.
4. I need to lose 15 - 20 lbs.
5. I probably won't do it though.
 
1. While I was touring today, I got a new work computer.
2. My son or one of his friends tied a knot in the garden hose. I'm pi$$ed.
3. I'm going bike riding tomorrow.
4. Parmesan cheese is good food.
5. Two weeks until I take a trip to Louisville.

2. There is an orange dodge dart which cuts through the gas station on the corner every morning to avoid the traffic light
3. Nice and 47 degrees this morning on the way in. Sunroof open but windows closed

  1. My car started this morning thanks to the new battery that I installed at 10pm last night in the rain...
  2. The weather guy said there is a chance of snow on Halloween here. Wife is going to be Pissed.
  3. Looks like a light agenda for next weeks meeting.
  4. I really need to lock down a productive morning routine.
  5. My to-do list around the house is about as long as Santa's naughty and nice lists.
 
1. I lost an hour today listening to Smelly Coat drop names of the IMPORTANT people he's worked with this year.
2. We thought we'd have a drinking game for each time he says the boss's name, but we can't drink on company time.
3. Traffic was rotten, so it took 2 hours to get home.
4. My car alarm just went off. I didn't know I had one.
5. I've had it up to here with a picky kid ordering me to buy food when we have food.
 
1. The Girl missed her bus this morning, I drove her two blocks over to our friends house, kicked her out of the car, & the bus pulled up as I pulled away
2. I have an out-of-office 'meeting' at 3:00 this afternoon -isn't that convenient
3. Safety training yesterday on Slips, Trips & Falls was a complete waste of time
4. Looking forward to a brief out-of-town experience over the weekend

1. If I had $10k to spend tomorrow, I would waste it quick.

3. If I lived alone, I would really need a lot less money in general.
4. My quality of life is WAY higher than I really would care for it to be.
5. I would probably be fatter though, because I would just eat and play video games after work.

1. Received a property tax rebate (?) check from the state this week, conveniently a week before election day.
2. The check was for a whopping $36.
3. Did the governor really think he could buy my vote for $36?!
4. I don't like when it gets dark so early.

1. I actually don't terribly mind the fact that the length of days changes throughout the year. In fact, the whole 23.5 degree tilt of the planet accounts for lots of interesting variety in my life
2. I don't like mangoes
3. pomegranates taste good but frankly the amount of work/hassle involved in eating them outweighs their good points

1. It's Friday and I'm not doing a damn thing today.

4. Actually hope the kennel gets approved so I never see it again.

2. Gave a written reprimand to an employee today. I hate dealing with personnel issues. Just do your job!
3. Almost finished packing for our flight to California tomorrow. Only the toiletries are left.

5. Dogs are boarding at the doggie daycare while we're gone. I'm gonna miss those boys.

  4. Wife printed out photos of real estate listings in NC, SC, TN, GA, and FL and is taping them to my coffee maker, the bathroom mirror, gun safe, my underwear drawer... something tells me that she wants to get out of the cold.
  5. Planet Fitness has free bagels one morning a month, and free pizza one evening a month. Does this sound counter productive to anyone else?

3. Thinking about going to the aquarium tomorrow.
4. After I play indoor soccer tonight.
5. One of these days I am going to figure out the exercise versus food percentage.

1. I too hate grant reporting - it's not even being read, just stuck in a file (& it has to be a hardcopy too)
2. My legs are aching after 4 evenings of indoor soccer in 7 days - they are fatigued but at least my knees don't have stabbing pains anymore
3. Wifey #1 sent me a b-day card 2 weeks late. She wrote she didn't forget my birthday, just too lazy to go buy a card - seems like nothing changes sometimes
4. I used to be much older then, I'm younger than that now
5. I'm still waiting for information I requested 2 weeks ago from a certain department - not happy

2. Usually, if something hasn't been eaten from the Turkey Day feast after three-four days it either gets pitched or frozen
3. I just read a book called "The Man Who Invented Christmas: How Charles Dickens's 'A Christmas Carol' Rescued his Career and Revived Our Holiday Spirits"
4. I am really really glad I don't live in Dickens world.
5. People that gush about how much better things were in the 19th century need to read up on history to understand why we changed things

4. My secret santa victim has to wait for next week so I can go to the next town over and get something local
5. This town just has no original stuff to be proud of unless you like frozen pizza or light bulbs.
 
1. I kinda enjoy watching the sunrise on the way to work but there is a short stretch of road where its directly in my eyes.
2. RJ's letter post makes me feel sad for the St. Andrew beach mouse now
3. The Girl dressed up as a reindeer this morning for school, complete with red nose
4. Mrs. P's phone was stolen last night from her jacket during a yoga class at the YMCA - dealing with that was my evening

1. We've planned a family Christmas party for tomorrow at our house. Just the nuclear family
2. What do you call the toy that consists of looping a couple feet of string through a large button and making it spin when you move your hands apart-together?
3. I got a marble game/toy when I was a kid called "Dr. Nim" I was fascinated by it for years but oddly never actually knew how the thing was supposed to work
4. I thought snow globes were pretty cool in my youth
5. glad I don't have to fly today, I'm not in the mood to travel right now

1) After months, I finally can connect to my home server. Makes file transfers so much easier when I am an hour away.
2) Oh happy, discussion of view shed protection.
3) A buddy sent me a text to ask about an old nickname I had. They are thinking of using it for their son who will be born in a few hours.
4) The fire chief was impressed that I didn't loose my cool when I was insulted yesterday by another department head. He said that he would have punched the guy. *I bit my lip not to say anything.
5) Looks like there is a decent chance that my City will not have a white Christmas this year. Don't care because I will be in the UP where they have a few feet of snow.

3. I have a philosophical internal battle with whether donating to the needy is better than actually working at a soup kitchen or shelter.
4. I hate when you get cut and don't realize it until you see blood on your shirt.
