1. I'm off today.
2. I'm going to enjoy the day as when I was a stay-at home mom.
3. The kick-off party for my town's 150th anniversary is tonight.
4. I love malted milk.
5. My kids, mom and I are going to our favorite bbq joint tomorrow.

5. Can't RJ today, I did that yesterday.
 
1) Had a very stressful meeting that I did not want to have, but had to
2) They said they would put the asphalt down in front of our house today... as of 4 pm it has not happened. I don't want to walk a block to my own house... with a driveway
3) I think I will mow the lawn tomorrow before it starts to rain, that way all the leaves will get mulched up and help green up my grass in the spring
4) The wife and #3 are going to a tea-lite party at her sister's house tonight. #1, #2 and I will probably watch some Thomas. (spoken in a British accent)
5) Why is it that if I am going over the speed limit, a cop will drive even faster, flash very distracting lights at me (and oncoming drivers), tail gate me, then get out of his vehicle and stand next to passing traffic speeding by, while armed! How does his actions make us safer again?
 
1. I didn't sleep worth crap last night. I never do, when RJ is out of town.
2. Then again, it could have been the dog (first time) and one of the cats on the bed last night.
3. Dealing with the kid's trashed room today.
4. I haven't even looked at his bathroom yet.
5. M'skis got my goat today... :-c;)
 
1. Woke up at 3:15 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. Tried for several hours, gave up and read Malcolm Gladwell's "Outliers" for a while.
2. Haven't seen Midori around here much lately. Wonder what she's up to?
3. Have to rake the leaves this evening before the snow hits
4. I don't know what to do this weekend. I just don't feel very motivated right now
5. Sledding and skating sound fun this winter.

[Waves] Hey! I was thinking of you all today, too. It's been nuts at my office, and I've been on the road a lot trying to cover way too much territory for one person.

1. Today is the first day I've had more than an hour at my desk all week.
2. After all the running, I'm running out of steam now.
3. I still have a ton of plats to sort through, and more keep coming in.
4. I'm not used to doing a lot of plat review, and particularly not in the jurisdiction that I'm getting them in now. There are a LOT of notes on them.
5. I need a Snickers.
 
1. I used my personal vehicle for an inspection, and the battery died.
2. Fortunately, the job I inspected was for a sister agency, I found no violations, and the guy used his jumper cables to get me back on the road.
3. I've always wondered what I'd do if something like that ever happened.....
4. I didn't have to go to the office today, am back home, and guess what?
5. I'm going to rj! :D:D
 
1. RJ took me to lunch at our favorite BBQ place today.
2. I had two "growths" cut off today and sent for biopsies.
3. Glad I like my doctor and his staff.
4. Also glad the doctor gives me valium so I can get on planes. Well, he actually prescribes it for vertigo,
5. which has been bothering me quite a bit this week.
 
1. No one bumped 10 things Thursday yesterday
2. Tonight we may drive around and look at Christmas lights. My son loves to do this
3. That or we'll watch an episode of the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew mysteries
4. I am worried about the Zoning Board meeting next week. I mean it's keeping me up at night.
5. I'm usually pretty good at keeping my mind off work matters when I'm home and busy doing things, but while lying in bed it's a different story.

3. Our house goes through a lot of toilet paper for some reason
4. I hung some pictures up in the house yesterday evening
5. I did not gain approval from the wifey so I am not allowed to hang picture without said approval again

Go figure. I thought your pictures looked great. Especially in the living room. Guess I don't understand women either.
 
1. Elementary was pretty good last night. Interesting character development.
2. Christmas is in how many days:-c
3. I've got way too much to do before then
4. Family will be in town for the holidays
5. I'd like to think it's because of me.
6-Bonus-But it's probably to get out of the !@#$$% Great Lakes weather for a week
 
1 - mix of ice, sleet, & snow.
2 - schools closed.
3 - I think the office is open but I am not there today.
4 - I am taking a vacation day.
5 - so much to do at home.

Mrs. Bubba asked me to hang a small mirror "at eye-level". I did as requested. Mrs. Bubba freaks out on me because I hung it at my eye-level, not hers (~10 inches lower). No more unsupervised hanging of pictures and such around the house for me.

  3. Might take the kids to the Christmas Tree lighting in downtown today
  4. Found out that there is a Lego exhibit coming to the local museum in March
  5. I drove the beast (suburban) to work today
 
  1. Just me and the foreclosure staff in the office today. I can poach RT to do my filing and excavate my desk :D
  2. I have about 2 weeks of work piled up, so naturally I am on Cyburbia.
  3. I was going to take the week after Christmas off, but I have to oversee the construction occurring under a CDBG grant.
  4. I think this is going to be a lean Christmas for us.
  5. I should RJ today.
 
1. The last two days were beautiful, temps in the 70s.
2. Woke up to an intense thunderstorm this morning. Snow expected in the next few days.
3. I'm finally starting to get my new desk cleaned off and things filed away.
4. If I was going to stay, I would need a pencil holder. As it is, my pens are in a jumbled pile on the desk.
5. I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel on getting all my files in order to hand over.
 
1. I think I drove through Midori's storm this morning.
2. My oldest son is zany and happy. I like that about him.
3. My youngest son has a wry sense of humor. I like that.
4. I'm not looking forward to dinner.
5. Sometimes I wish I lived in an Airstream.
 
1. Mr. RJ's Beauty Salon was open for business this afternoon.
2. Letting the dye take, ZG is now wandering the house topless and in panties before she jumps into the shower.
3. If for #2 only, I like dyeing her hair. :)
4. Starting now, I have six working days off.
5. This wine sure tastes good. :wine:
 
1. One of the inspectors brought in homemade BLTs for breakfast for the entire staff
2. I stealthy removed the tomato
3. I always like it when there are more cards than junk mail/bills in the mailbox
4. UPS is quick and easy
5. The outside hose burst here at the office (the inspectors us it to wash the mud off) and part of the parking lot is now an ice rink
 
1) I need to go to lunch soon
2) My oldest turns 5 on Monday
3) Why is it that baby animals are cuter when they are with baby humans
4) A co-worker's son is obsessed with the Titanic... he is around 10...
5) My wife dyed her hair. She wanted it to be reddish brown... it looks like this now:

1. I cut all my hair off, and am now sporting a Julie Andrews look.
2. It's a zillion times less work.
3. Husband is sad. He liked it better long.
4. Maybe I'll dye it like mskis's wife.

2. I'm getting a bunch of free apples that I'll make into apple butter.
3. I sure could go for some kind of melted cheese.
4. I don't know why Loretta Lynn wears those dowdy dresses.

1) I get into the Christmas spirit after a few drinks with spirits...
2) Some sports fans are really starting to get on my nerves
3) I think I am going to try to get tickets to see Garth Brooks when he plays a concert in my City next summer
4) Lunch was not that good
5) My neighbor gave me grief about my method of shoveling the sidewalk... and asked if I have ever used a shovel before. His wife was kind enough to tell him that I grew up in the UP and to shut the hell up.
 
1) It is going to be above freezing today. Maybe I can get some of the ice off my sidewalk when I get home.
2) Looking forward to tonight's Christmas party even though my MIL will be there.. but then again so will be my little sister who likes to speak her mind.
3) I am having problems deciding what I want for lunch today
4) I have been having problems with my Trash pickup and the lack of adequate response from the City about it.
5) We needed to tell our 5 year old that he cannot ride his bike in the house anymore. He was seeing how long of a skid mark he could make on the hardwood floors. Fortunately they rub out very quickly bit it is a pain.

1. Must talke to commissioners again, must fill every empty planning commission seat even when I say wait a month to cut out some work for me.
2. My Ipad broke, the charging thing won't work anymore
3. My wife is trying to help by taking it to the computer geeks, it's not worth fixing but I like the attempt

5. Lucky I get a big roast beef sammy for lunch.

5. I'd like to go cross-country skiing tonight but I'm afraid it might be a bit too cold to do that with Junior (and he'd resent it if I went off without him)

4. I spent my 21st birthday there.

4. His fan is sending cold air over the cubicle onto me.

2) The snow drift behind my car is now covering the trunk
3) I really like the people I work with
4) I might take my oldest son to a family friendly Domestic Problems concert tomorrow afternoon (College Flashbacks....)
5) The windows at City Hall are for show only... they don't hold back the weather that well.

1. Something you may not know about me (AIB this post): I spent two summers working for the American Bible Society
2. A colleague told me today that he's in awe of my "lightning quick research abilities"
3. It's nice to get a compliment every once in awhile
4. It felt good to get some sunlight today, despite the cold
5. I have no weekend plans
 
1. The sun's shining, but I'm inside, and feeling cold.
2. My coworker's peanut butter toast smells so good.
3. Had someone built their sed basins when they said they would, I wouldn't have to walk across snow and ice to verify that they're built now. Or not.

1. I read back a page on 10 things Thursday and saw why kjel and kms are going to be Cyburbia calendar girls. You go girls
2. It was zero degrees driving in this a.m.
3. It's one thing to point out shortcomings in critical thinking, but it bugs me sometimes when folks express the anyone who believes in religion is a complete moron attitude
4. Junior has a choice between 'family video night' or fondue dinner this evening. It'll be interesting to see which one he chooses
5. I have to be in court in a few minutes. I dislike court.

2) We need to take our youngest to the dermatologist because of extreme eczema
3) I think I might order flowers for my wife to have them delivered to her hospital while she is working next Friday.
4) A garage collapsed just outside of my neighborhood yesterday because of the amount of snow on it.
5) My dad is talking about moving to AZ after he retires. I personally don't think he will ever retire.
