His message is simple: Technological advances like electric vehicles have improved our air quality, but they don’t make us move. We’ve cleaned the tailpipes, but we haven’t cleaned up the behavior.
 
Similar to the reality that autonomous cars won't fix traffic or sprawl and will likely make it worse.

Edit... I mentioned this before, but it is worth repeating. Auto manufacturers are now realizing that we are not quite ready for EV. Ford reported a net loss of $8.2 Billion in FY 2025, mostly due to the lack of sales of electric vehicles. GM is expecting a $1.6 Billion loss.
