I think we should have a Wednesday Inspirational Thread... you know, to get me through the rest of the week.

Moderator note:

moved from RTDNTOTO. Hink, be careful what you ask for when frequenting the FAC, M'kay?

Inspirational thought for this Wednesday......
Tonight is Wednesday night - that means you can get a little bit loaded tonight and tomorrow night without too dire of consequences in anticipation of really tying one on come Friday!

It's Wednesday, and it's after noon for you. I believe pilots and ship captains call this "the Point of No Return".

No one has ever drowned in sweat.

It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it.

Bet you never thought MP would be quoting a football coach! :D

exactly - it's from this hilarious bot site: https://inspirobot.me/

try the mindfulness one

LP:
What a blast from the past!
In 1979 at MIT we wrote that bot--or one nearly identical. That is, at the AI lab we were tasked with writing a computer program that yielded a result similar to ^that^ bot's result.

The premise: It doesn't matter what the 'inspirational' message says, as long as it appears to be extremely perceptive & meaningful.

The computer program template for the "inspirational" message that you (LP) posted would be something like:

<Noun- 'inspiration'> is a
<Adjective- relating to the mind> + <Noun- representatitive concept> of the
<Adjective- relating to quantum theory> + <Plural Noun- twisted complications> of the
<Noun- Science fiction universe that heads toward infinity>

(Notice how this looks a little like the kids' game 'Mad Libs"?)

The goal of this assignment, (aside from fooling Harvard students), was to immerse us into the world of artificial intelligence and then have us write original, useful programs that a 'robot' might use in the future.

Do you still need inspiration or has your career taken you to greener pastures and now you are mentally, spiritually, and physically content?
I have found my greener pastures, now I'm just lazily eating the grass. I need no inspiration and want no motivation. Just stay out of my pastures.

You owe it to every man, woman, and child in the state of Michigan to beat the Buckeyes and silence their fans. - Bo Schembechler

Good one... ;)

I would certainly say that 13 years later, I am happier with other things in life, but I am not sure how anyone in the current environment in public sector would say they are mentally, spiritually, and physically content. It is a damn rodeo every day...

Private sector = Bill bill bill bill bill and bill some more even if you have to work 60 hours a week go to three night meetings a week for clients and churn out responses to RFPs to keep the flow of future work imminent. Not sure how that is a formula to be mentally, spiritually, and physically content. But this is how Capital works.
