The City of Winston-Salem and Winston-Salem Area Transportation Planning Organization (WSATPO) are seeking our next Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator!



This position will hit the ground running on several important local plans and initiatives. In this role, you will:

  • Lead a feasibility study to investigate potential shared use path connections between Wake Forest University and Downtown’s Long Branch Trail
  • Direct a study to explore solutions for recurring flooding along the Salem Creek Greenway
  • Support long-range and regional planning initiatives, including the Piedmont Greenway to connect Winston-Salem and Greensboro
  • Oversee the development of a greenway wayfinding system for ~30 miles of trail
  • Support safety action planning initiatives in Winston-Salem and Clemmons
  • Manage micromobility contracts
  • Coordinate with an outstanding citizen-led Bicycle/Pedestrian/Active Mobility Advisory Committee
