Forum games 🎲 2025 Celebrity death watch

Ozzy doing that show just before he passed (and killing it by the way) is the most Ozzy rock and roll thing ever.

This was his last song ever. Pretty poignant for a kid like me who grew up rocking out to Ozzy.

I loved wrestling in the '80s and early '90s and never liked Hogan. One of my older brothers loved him though and literally cried when Andre the Giant ripped the crucifix off of of Hogan during an interview in Piper's Pit. I just remember my mom and I watching that with my brother and dying with laughter (even though I don't think Andre meant to grab the chain).

All that said, years later when Hogan had his heel turn during his WCW days and joined the NWO, that was great. I think the earlier stuff from the WWF had better wrestlers but the WCW's NWO days had the best storyline in terms of production and how clearly defined the "good guys" and the "bad guys" were.

FWIW, I got that Hogan was a great wrestler and understood the entertainment of it all, but he was just soooo cheesy even to me, a pre-teen wrestling fanatic. I would have much rather watched Macho Man (he was always my favorite) or Andre the Giant or Iron Sheik or hometown favorite George the Animal Steal or Jake the Snake or Ted DiBiase...

I remember, even as an under 10 year old, that Chuck was big in the 1970s.
My parents had a really nice record collection. Because I had two older siblings and huge console tv with record player, we'd listen to lot of the records as a kid. We eventually got a standalone 32 inch tv and transitioned more to tapes. When I became a teen I went back to my parents records to dig out the good stuff we listened to and I realized my brother and sister had stolen all of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, CSNY, and other good classic rock. They left the disco, comic records, soft rock, early folk (Kingston Trio), and so many copies of records by Chuck Mangione and Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass.

Yeah, I saw that too. He'd made a career early on playing stereotype native American roles but later on really broadened his horizons after Dances With Wolves. I used to enjoy him on the Red Green Show where he played a demolitions 'expert'
