If you knew no one was looking would you enjoy popping a kangaroo in the kisser?

  • Yes. T'would be oddly pleasing. But pleasing just the same

  • No. It is mean to strike animals. One should not do that.

I am sure that many of you have seen this video already. I also think that the public outrage from some people is foolish.

What are your thoughts?

I think the response to the situation was both appropriate and proportional. Man saves dog, kangaroo gets no more than popped in the kisser and everyone lives happily ever after. What's the problem?

I like when he punches it, both the kangaroo and the man are kind of stunned. It takes him a while to run away.

I don't know if I can say 'why Australians are awesome', but certainly can say this particular human male is awesome. :D

This guy certainly gets an irrevocable lifetime Man Card, for sure.

I've had to stare down a large potentially aggressive dog once that was wandering loose in a neighborhood when my wife, dog and I were out on a walk.

It's rather neat. A real life version of one of those fantasies where animals and humans live among each other. I can just hear the Roo with a human voice ;)

I think people forget that kangaroos are wild animals and that it could have seriously hurt the dog. And also, people are criticizing it with no knowledge of how to handle a kangaroo encounter. I've seen kangaroo fights. This wasn't really significant.

I wonder what the kangaroo was doing with the dog. The dog didn't look like he was in immediate distress or danger but I realize that could have changed in an instant. The way he was just kind of holding the dog there seemed odd. If he felt threatened why not just kick, punch or whatever it is they do. Maybe he was just trying to have a sensible chat with the dog like "dude, this is a big, wide open space. You go your way and I'll go mine. Don't be all up in my grill aight?" :D

Anyone seen Natski lately? This should draw her out.

If an Australasian Planner was on Cyburbia wouldn't that make them awesome ?

The Kangaroo probably was like "F this, Im gonna go drink some Fosters" (because Australian humans dont actually drink it) after getting socked and having enough of it.

I am totally against punching kangaroos. Unless they are assholes. Which this one was.
