I swear some people are just out for a quick buck. I find it hard to believe that there is anyone who would actually believe that a McRib is real pork ribs...

The lawsuit, which was filed Dec. 23 in the Northern District of Illinois, was brought by four individuals who claimed the Chicago-based fast food giant deceives reasonable consumers who would "reasonably believe that a product named the 'McRib' will include at least some meaningful quantity of actual pork rib meat."

"Sex with the McRib" was briefly the working name of a band that practiced once to play one gig at my High School in 2007. I "played" bass. We ended up calling ourselves "The Uhh" in the end.

It's just chopped and pressed pork. It's definitely pork though and very greasy. Did you know that if we ran out of grill cleaner when the McRib was on offer, we'd use the diluted McRib sauce to clean the grills instead. That's why they give you bubble guts.

At McDowells, it was known as the "Mac Rib"

Concerning the lawsuit, keep in mind that for a false advertising tort, they'll have to demonstrate proof of intent to deceive, materiality (influencing buying decisions), and potential injury to the plaintiff.

"Members of the jury, my clients lives have been turned upside down as a result of them believing they were purchasing rib meat when in fact the pork cut was taken several inches above the ribs. I may be just a simple caveman, but even I know that my clients are entitled to $4 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in punitive sanctions!"

Their lives may not have been turned upside down, but their GI tract has been.
