Weird Al Yankovic and his band is a national treasure and must be celebrated now and forever. They will be counted with the greats - Beethoven, Jack White, Eddie Van Halen, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Bill Monroe, Taylor Swift, Neil Peart, etc, etc.

I still think "Eat It" is his most ingenious song. Every single line is pure gold. It was perfect because of the popularity of Michael Jackson's song in the first place.

"I lost on Jeopardy" is good too, but because Greg Kihn's original not as well known, the effect is muted somewhat.

Truth to this statement. I can remember the fist time I saw the video, however. Local video show early 1980s in Minnesota - KDWB's Saturday Night Rocks. My oldest brother would record each episode. I have three VHS cassettes in the basement of the show.

Another One Rides the Bus is the shining example of his enormous talent. I giggle every time I hear it! You know he rode the bus all the time and knows from first hand experience.

Ridin' in the bus down the boulevards
And the place was pretty packed, yeah
I couldn't find a seat, so I had to stand
With the perverts in the back
It was smellin' like a locker room

But we're stoppin' to pick up more,

look out!

When I was 11-12 (2002-03) me and my middle school friends would watch UHF every week. We loved it because it was one of the few gut-busting hilarious movies that DIDN'T have any cursing or sex jokes, which we thought was a major feat at that South Park loving age.

I saw Al in 2018 at the Tarrytown (NY) Music Hall. His performance was kinda phoned in NGL.

Also, the "biopic" was disappointing, I wanted to hear his actual story.

I was in Spirt Halloween over the weekend for their post-Halloween sales. Yoda (parody of Lola) came on and I couldn't help but sing out loud. Mrs. Me didn't get it.
