Sports 🄌 Teh 2025 MLB Thread - Tampa Bay Rays Have No Home

A few weeks ago we were preparing for the possibility of an almost wire-to-wire run in AL for the Tigers. Now we're preparing for a historic late season meltdown. Last night's 6th inning was particularly brutal to watch. How the h3ll do you let Cleveland score 3 runs without even hitting the ball out of the infield? Ouch!

Also... I forget the numbers but last year I think the Tigers set the record for being the most games out of playoff contention at the All Star Break and actually making the playoffs. This year we may set the record for the most games up at the All Star Break and missing the playoffs.

Regular season has ended...let the playoffs (all of them) begin.

MLB better let the dome be open this weekend. Iim going to sundays game and it us going to be a scorcher. In 2015 we had great weather and they made it stay closed.

There’s some kind of important game today for Chicago’s north side team. šŸ˜‰

Ohtani yesterday - 4 for 4 (two HRs, two doubles), five walks (four of which were intentional). Damn.

& he's the starting pitcher tonight.

I admit I was not awake to see Freddie Freeman hit one out over dead centerfield to win it in the 18th inning (a 6+ hour baseball game).

I turned on a bit of the World Series game on Monday evening after the end of the MNF game. I watched into the 11th inning and thought to myself, "This is dumb. I don't really care about either of these teams." and went to bed.

Even though it is cool about how long it wet, I'm glad I didn't stay up until the end.

During the League Series, I decided I wanted the Mariners to win. A newcomer, never won it type thing. However I read that Cal Raleigh was from my college alma mater. That kinda confirmed routing for Seattle.

They lost.

Today I find out that Bo Bichette with the Blue Jays went to my high school alma mater. Go Blue Jays!
