Any recommendations for Site of the Day? Post them here, and we'll have a look.

Planning related sites or sites that would be of interest to planners, preferably those that are non-commercial, or which contain significant content but don't charge users for it. Private consulting/architecture/planning firms, developers, and the like ... probably not, unless they provide significant free resources to users; for example, model codes or how-to guides.

What about a sustainable search engine like Blackle

I don't know, not necessarily planning related, but it seems to be environmentally friendly... unless I am getting hosed.

For international orientation, there are several possibilities, but how about Cities Alliance?

http://www.citiesalliance.org

There you can get a broad idea of what the so-called international community is doing about improving living standards in cities around the world. There are links to lots of other sites where you can get a variety of toolkits.

Law of the Land: A blog on land use law and zoning

This blog, maintained by Albany Law School Associate Dean and Professor Patricia Salkin, is designed to provide a forum for the discussion of current laws, policies and decisions that affect the use of land. It highlights new court decisions, new state and federal laws and policies, and actions at the local government level that guide and/or impact land use and community development.
