Hi guys,
I'm looking for advice into which London school will be better for my experience and connections for professors, as well as academic notoriety. I'm planning on going into the field of urban studies but am wanting to do my masters and work for a few years before pursuing my PhD.
I'm currently applying for an MSc in Urbanization and Development + City Design and Social Science at LSE. I'm also going to apply to UCL for Urban Development Planning in the DPU department. Can anyone give me some pros and cons into the two programs/departments?

Thank you!

Both are fabulous programs with great reputations internationally. In terms of name recognition LSE definitely is up there, and seems more design focused. Do you want to be a land use planner or go more towards design? UCL seems to have a very strong well rounded planning program that covers multiple streams. But I am really not an expert on UK programs.

The BIG question is getting into these schools. they are HIGHLY competitive. Do you have a 4.0 GPE and a stunning resume? If not, are you filthy rich?
