Nostalgia 🕰 Crayons

I have very fond memories of busting open that box of 64 Crayolas (with built-in sharpener on the box). Not only were the colors varied and appealing but I used to like the smell of crayons too. The Crayola people must have known the aroma was part of the appeal because for a time they made specially scented crayons.

There was NO comparison between Crayola brand and whatever the competition was. Those alternate crayons may have been cheaper but their performance was beyond pathetic. They simply didn't lay down an even coat of color. They seemed to be more wax than pigment in the formulation as well.

When I was a kid I had LOTS of coloring books. Most of the ones I had didn't have a theme, but I do recall one that had lots of Christmas pictures, and another with lots of Old West images.

Nowadays they have coloring books for adults. They're supposed to be therapeutic and can 'take you out of your headspace'. These, however, are intended for colored pencils, however, I imagine crayons would work as well.
