Do you believe in ghosts or evil spirits? Would you be willing to spend a night alone in a remote house that is supposedly haunted?

While I have not experienced anything that I would chalk up to a ghost or spirit, I am open to believe there are things which we cannot comprehend. We cannot limit to what we physically know in this world; just not logical. There is much more out there we do not know. Why are we here in the first place? Where did we come from? Religion tries to answer these questions. I would not have a problem spending a night in a house that is supposedly haunted. Goes back to my zero experience with such phenomenon.

I'm going to say "YES". I think I do believe in something akin to ghosts or spirits. I don't know what they are or would be or what the nature of any of that is, I just can't explain everything I've seen and heard. Now, maybe it could be explained by somebody, and I would accept that. I would ABSOLUTELY spend the night in a place that is supposedly haunted. I wouldn't love being alone in that place (because I'm a huge baby) but I would spend the night.

I've spent plenty of nights in supposedly haunted houses and hotels in Savannah...I generally amuse myself after sunset by yelling random crap at the "ghost tour" groups when they stop in front of them.

And, yes, I'm that immature.

Yes I believe in ghosts and stuff and I would have no problem staying in a haunted house since ghosts generally leave me alone for some reason. My wife and kid, not so much.

Yes, I in ghosts, but I think evil spirts are sometimes different than 'ghosts'. I think some ghosts are just confused and don't realize they are dead. Others might know and try to make their existence known. I do think that there are evil ghosts who where evil people when they were alive and want to continue to terrorize others. I also think that there are demonic entities that are not ghosts that are out to cause harm to the living.

As for a haunted house, I think it depends on the haunting. I think the house I grew up in is haunted, but nothing bad ever happened. Weird, yes, but not bad. If it was a place were there is 'evil' hauntings, then no, I would not want to be there.

I don't generally believe in ghosts. I'm not saying they don't exist, but that if they do I haven't seen enough evidence to accept them as part of my world view.

I've heard of several incidents that are intriguing, but are largely anecdotal.

Children of the Corn did it for me. And I was living in Iowa at the time.

1. In some sense, idk what exactly.

2. Only if the ghosts were friendly!

My house I rented in the lakes region was haunted - a door would slam at random and there were footsteps - I think it was the grandmother of my landlady - it didn't bother me

When we bought our first house in Massachusetts, it felt odd to me, and I found a pentagram in the basement carefully placed in a wall, so I had the house blessed and it was fine

When my dad died, our son was turning 3 - when we got back to Maine from Syracuse, I was putting my son to bed and he asked if I was sad, and I said yeah, I miss my dad and he said, but mom he's right over there - and according to Gabriel, he was there for a few days thereafter when I asked him. and then one night when I asked him, he said nope he's gone in a matter-of-fact unemotional voice

so yeah, who knows, there's a layer out there that I have no idea about - but I really hope I can come back and scare the living shit outta someone because how fun would that be before hopefully going into the light

I do not believe in ghosts, so it follows that I wouldn't have any trouble staying in a place others think is haunted.

I spent a fair amount of time considering this question as I had never boiled it down to the binary believe/don't believe. I concluded that I don't believe in ghosts. I do, however, think there is energy we don't understand and given the human brain's essential need to connect dots, ghosts seem the logical answer. So, that's where I stand.

I go back and forth between believing and not. I tell myself I don't because there would be more proof if they were real. At the same time I've seen things I can explain. I believe there are lot of con-artist that push fear and belief in spirits. I also think our minds will play tricks on us. End of the day, ghosts may be as good an answer as any.

I don't have a problem going places that are haunted, but if my gut tells me to leave I'd leave.
