Any options besides AICP certification?

I did take the AICP exam but I wanted to find out if there are any other certifications other planners are getting too?

Obviously the AICP is the most important one to have but I just wanted to get a sense for what else might be out there in the way of special certifications that are good for a planner to have.

Agreed. The CEcD is an excellent credential. I believe one of our members, Cardinal, has this.

Another good one is LEED-AP for sustainability/green building through the US Green Building Council.

I do. I would highly recommend the certification if you are interested in economic development.

You might also consider the National Development Council, which offers certifications for economic development and housing. Their program is much more intensive on the real estate development fundementals.
 
Thank you for the suggestions. I did look into LEED AP but decided to go with a GIS certification since that's been more my concentration than green building or economic development. I'll always keep LEED in the back of my mind though-- it may be a good goal for the future.
