Admittedly, not a big drinker and never have been. A six pack could last me a month or two. Beer has not been a favorite but do imbibe a few. High school days was preferable with Matilda Bay or Bartles and James wine coolers (are those still produced and were they in reality the White Claws of the late 80s and early 90s?) and an occasional beer. I do enjoy a Leinenkugle's Summer Shandy on tap over a bottle. Killian's Irish Red is good as well as a Blue Moon. Always a fan of ciders as I do love regular apple cider since I was kid. Never got into those made with "goat's milk" or a "daaaark beer" but willing to try anything once. Grew up near a local brewery - literally 640 feet as the crow flies and was an aroma in the air most mornings.

I like beer

and have posted extensively about my preferences in the neverending beer thread.

Beer is nice because it doesn't generally hit as hard as liquor and tends to be more economical than either wine or single malt.

For whatever reason, I lost my taste for adult beverages in my 20s. I see nothing wrong in consuming them in a responsible manner. They just stopped tasting good to me.

Beer is my top choice by a long shot. I wouldn't consider myself a heavy drinker (a six-pack can last me a couple of weeks) but I enjoy it. One of my favorite things to do in the evening after the kids are in bed is to sit down with a plate of cheese, sausage, pickles, and a beer.

I don't buy it for myself but I will not refuse a nice whiskey if somebody is offering. I don't know the differences between the various malts or types or whatever but I can enjoy them nonetheless.

I am a beer snob. Not into wine. Rarely drink spirits, but on rare occasion will drink rum, gin, vodka or whiskey.

Right now a nice glass of scotch or a decent whiskey with my cigar. If it's cheaper whiskey I'll add some bitters.

I've been a beer guy for a long time and will still readily drink it. But it's getting to the point where it makes me feel bloated.

I've been leaning more toward mixed drinks and wine. If I go out to eat with the wife (who as a non-drinker is a ready designated driver), I like to look at the mixed drink menu. There are some really talented mixologists out there.

When I was drinking I would drink anything. Now I wish I could find a good non-alcoholic adult drink of choice that wasn't pop. I like V-8 but can't drink more than a can at a time.

My go-to non-alcoholic is Topo Chico with a twist of lime. You can get that in a bar (at least down here) with the bartender adding the twist, or they sell it with the lime already added. It tastes like a very subtle 7-Up. Maybe still a little too pop-like for you, I don't know. I get it in an 18-bottle case at Costco. Now that I'm dieting I'll be drinking more of this.

Circling back to the original question (because this is totally what I should be thinking about on a Monday morning):

Beer - mostly a well established rotation of IPAs that aren't overly hoppy, and the occasional PBR tall boy
Wine - Willamette Valley pinot noirs, Spanish/Portuguese/southern Italian reds
Good bourbon, one rock
Whisky, neat (single malts >>> the blended crap)
An occasional gin and tonic when out in polite society
While on a beach in the Caribbean: Bloody Mary as a starter, then Red Stripe/Presidente/Turks Head/whatever else the local brew is...

I don't drink a lot typically and can go weeks without one. I'm a Joe Sixpack beer drinker typically. I can't stand IPAs or any of those silly flavors people try to put into beers. A few years ago I decided I needed a "grown up" drink because sometimes in certain settings a beer doesn't cut it. Then I'll have a Crown and Ginger. I do like a Bloody Mary on occasion. Recently I discovered Charleston Bloody Mary Bold and Spicy Mix. It's awesome. But I might have 5 of those a year. I do enjoy a margarita while on vacation and anyone who drinks it any way other than on the rocks with salt is not doing it correctly.

I had cut way back on drinking a year ago as my husband has some health issues where he had to stop all alcohol consumption, but I do make a drink here and there when my daughter is home or when I am with our Vermont friends

I am partial to gin based drinks, so gin and tonics in summer, and negronis, gimlets, and stonewalls in the wintry months

I like Sauvignon Blanc for my white wine top choice but a Vino Verde is great in the summer
For reds, I like Beaujolais and Pinot Noir the best but the old vine Zinfadels are pretty nice too

also like an Aperol or Campari spritzer and Barcelona sangria is the best

not a big beer person but when in Rome kind of thing, I will try the tester glass thingy

if at a beer event, I usually go looking for the hard cider dealer as they are always on the fringes and I like hard cider but nothing gets me hammered faster so I need to watch it lol

I like scotch when I am sick as that's what my parents gave me as a kid so I connect scotch with not feeling well

around St Patrick's Day, I get a bottle of St Brendan's - I like it better than Bailey's

for non alcohol - I like ginger ale and good quality root beer/birch beer is awesome

otherwise seltzers are fine

Preferred beverage is wine. I also do enjoy beers as well. On occasion, I do like mixed drinks such as a Gin and Tonic, a Tom Collins, or a Margarita.
